AERIAL TEACHER TRAINING / CERTIFICATION
OVERVIEW

Who is the Aerial Teacher Training for?

Anyone! Our teacher training certifications are designed for anyone interested in teaching circus arts to children, teens, adults, families and groups.

What is Aerial Teacher Certification?

Aerial Teacher Certification is proof of in-depth safety and technical training for anyone who is currently teaching or wants to teach (or co-teach) Circus Arts to others. Gaining certification in one of the four certification levels is a way to verify to students that you are highly qualified to teach and have the highest professional standards and education.

Why Get Trained at the Circus Arts Institute?

The Circus Arts Institute has been in the business of training teachers both in-house and for other programs for over 25 years. Carrie Heller is a lover of the Circus Arts and wants all Circus Arts programs to operate at their highest safety standards possible.
To this end, ACE, the American Circus Educators branch of AYCO, has evaluated our Teacher Training Program and our facility and we are proud to be the first Teacher Training Program and circus facility in America to be nationally recognized for our excellent standards.

* Cost and Length of Aerial Training will depend on amount of previous experience and length of time required to learn aerial techniques and tricks. Also, cost depends on how many trainees you share a trainer with. If you are the only trainee in your apparatus, the training will be $600 as you will getting a private training. If only one other trainee joins in your apparatus, the cost will be $500 each. We will keep all trainees notified as to how many trainees are enrolled.
* The Aerial Circus Training and Safety Manual is required for class - if you do not have one yet, you can purchase one online here or at class for $50
* If you are focused certifying on Aerial Fabric/Silks, we ask you purchase and watch the Nimble Arts Aerial Fabric Videos (We refer primarily to Beginner Level 1 in our Beginner program.) The tricks in the video are tricks that will be required of a Beginner Aerial Fabric Certified Teacher.
* Cost of the Teacher Training Course does not include Certification Assessment fee.

** Subject to slight time changes - notifications will be made to all enrolled or on wait list if changes are made.
Note: Hours teaching at CAI can be partially traded for aerial training. Contact Carrie for trade details.
